The major purpose for writing this text is to provide a resource and problem-solving guide for front-line vocational rehabilitation counselors.

The purpose of this project was to develop a model approach for providing community-based employment services to persons who reside in rural areas and are severely disabled as a result of traumatic brain injury.

This book was written to inform the consumer, family members, and consumer advocates as to the range of information necessary, specialist who may be involved, and the potentially long and intricate process that may need to be followed.

This project proposed a series of activities that lead to not a model demonstration, but a collaboration of resources on a national level which identified the primary barriers to community-based employment for this population.

This is a story about Brian, a college student headed for a normal adulthood whose car strikes a light pole. He suffers a head injury with severe brain damage. The author details the family's fight to maintain his rehabilitation course.
