has a variety of equipment available for all of your Assistive Technology needs. Equipment
available includes: computers, wheelchairs & scooters, walkers,
personal care items, items for vision and hearing impairments, hospital
beds, and adapted vehicles. It is a one-stop
resource which includes items for sale, give away, loan, demonstration,
or evaluation. Any individual from Nebraska with a disability;
family members or caregivers, service providers, school personnel, or
others who are addressing assistive technology needs of persons with
disabilities are welcome to use this site.
PTI Nebraska Parent Training & Information
The mission of PTI Nebraska is
to provide training, information and support to parents in Nebraska who
have a child birth through twenty six with special needs. Resources are
provided for parents, other family members, school personnel and
interested others.
Department of Education Special Populations - Transition
Transition is a coordinated set of activities for a student with a
disability, which promotes movement from school to post-school
activities. This Nebraska Department of Education site explains the educational requirements of transition.
Nebraska Advocacy Services, Inc.
Nebraska Advocacy Services, Inc.,
advocates on behalf of individuals with disabilities. This agency
serves the entire state of Nebraska. There services are provided
to transition students with disabilities ages 14 through 21.
Transition - NDE
This site is designed to provide information and resources for all
stakeholders involved in assisting students with disabilities as they
prepare to transition from school to adult living. This site
provides critical information regarding the transition process, to
include requirements and mandates as well as best practices in the
field of transition.
Central Region ASD Team (CRASDT)
The Central Region Autism Team is part of a statewide network created by the Nebraska Department of Education Special Populations Office (NDE). The network is composed of five Regional Teams throughout Nebraska and the Austism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Standing Committee in partnership with NDE and UNL. The goals of the network are to assist school districts in providing quality educational opportunities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and to enhance their capacity in providing free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment to children with ASD.
